William Ludlam Obituary

William Wesley Ludlam, 34, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 2 P.M., at Epworth Family Church with Rev. Gerald Caryl-Gordon officiating.  Burial will follow in Epworth Church Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing.  The visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M., at the funeral home.

Born April 4, 1992, in Dothan, Alabama, Wesley was the son of James Ricky and Debra Denise Sapp Ludlam.  Wes was a passionate and devoted individual who found immense joy in all things Auburn, especially football and basketball.  He took great pride in Auburn basketball and looked forward to the upcoming football season, often immersing himself in daily Auburn podcasts.  Wes had a deep love for his service dog, Roscoe and his dog Dava, with whom he was inseparable.  His affection extended to his growing collection of reptiles, showcasing his compassion for all animals.  Wes cherished his family and made it a point to connect with them in meaningful ways.  As a dedicated uncle, he delighted in teaching his nieces and nephews how to skateboard and sharing his love of reptiles, particularly bonding with little Nathan over their mutual passion for animals.  He enjoyed spending time with friends, skateboarding and dreaming of one day opening his own skate shop and park.  His enthusiasm for electronics and video games was also a significant part of his life.  Wes aspired to earn a business degree, with the ultimate goal of turning his dreams into reality.  His vibrant spirit and passion for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  Wes had given his heart to Jesus shortly after his stroke and his faith had brought him through some tough times since his stroke.  He trusted God to provide all that he needed.  He shared his faith when he felt led to share with Friends that needed to know about Jesus.

Survivors other than his parents include his brother: Dylan (Katie) Ludlam; his sisters: Allison Dansby and Anna Lee (Trevor) Davis; 4 nephews: Spencer Williams, Austyn Williams, Nathan Ludlam, Tyler Williams; 4 nieces: Emma Kate Ludlam, Everly Ludlam, Kinley Davis, Emily Williams; his maternal grandmother: Margaret Sapp; his aunt: Dot Friedman.

Pallbearers will be Trey Todd, Randall Broome, Adrian Calloway, Trevor Hayes, Bobby Gray and Tiara Henderson.
