William Michael “Mike” Giglio, 75, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 4 P.M., at Christian Life Church with Pastor Ken Jackson officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 10 A.M., at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, Alabama with Chapman Funeral Home directing. The visitation will be held Sunday, prior to the service from 3 P.M. until 4 P.M., at the church. In lieu of flowers, the Giglio family asks that you send donations to Christian Life Church Missions Fund, Eufaula, Alabama.
Born August 20, 1949 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, Mr. Giglio was the son of the late Jack Marion and Virginia Priest Giglio. Mr. Giglio was a class of 1967 graduate of Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. He was a graduate of Troy State University (Troy University) in Troy, Alabama, class of 1971. He later received his first Masters in Management from there in 1988 and then his second Masters in Counseling and Psychology in 2010. Mr. Giglio was a National Certified Addiction Counselor (NCACII) and Licensed Professional Counselor. He served as past President for Alabama Society for Health Care Social Workers, past Regional Advisor for the Society for Hospital Social Work Directors, past Vice-President and Board of Directors for the March of Dimes in Dothan, Alabama, past Chairman of the Board for Russell County DHR and past Vice-Chair for Jackson County Teen Court. Mr. Giglio was a member of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors and the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association. For the last twenty-four years, Mr. Giglio had worked as the County Director for New Horizons Behavioral Health in Columbus, Georgia. He was a member of Christian Life Church in Eufaula, Alabama. He enjoyed the lake and all things Alabama Crimson Tide Football. He was a wonderful husband and father and loved all of his family and friends dearly.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years: Shirley Little Giglio; his children: Chris Giglio, Brandon Creel, Cody Creel, Holley Creel; 2 grandchildren: Haleigh Giglio and Adrian Giglio; 2 great grandchildren: Stella and Renee.
