William Keith Benefield

William Keith Benefield, 65, of Buford, Georgia, died Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, Georgia.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 11 A.M., in Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Don Highland officiated with Chapman Funeral Home directing.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Born October 26, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia, Keith was the son of the late Julian Tharrell and Bernice Maurine Abercrombie Benefield.  He was a 1977 graduate of Louisville High School.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  Keith was employed with Durkopp Adler as a computer technician.

Survivors include 1 sister: Karen (Charles) Bowden, Jr.; 2 brothers: Kim (Sharon) Benefield and Kelly (Jo Lynn) Benefield; several nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers were Alan McGonigle, Brad Dixon, Jeff Stover, Jason Bowden, Kevin Bowden and Hayden Benefield.
