Vickey Jean Caraway

            Vickey Jean Caraway, 66, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Sunday, March 15, 2026, at St. Frances Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

            Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026. At 2 P.M., at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with A.J. Owens officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing.  The visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. at the funeral home.

            Born July 18, 1959, in Luverne, Alabama, Vickey was the daughter of the late Epton Eugen “Gene” Moore and the late Bernice S. Williams Moore Merchant.  Vickey loved and enjoyed her grandson, Alex Carpenter.  She was a graduate of Troy State University where she received her Bachelors Degree in social work.  Other than her parents, Vickey was preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Merchant.

            Survivors include her daughter: Angela Carpenter; her grandson: Alex Carpenter; her sisters: Susan (Ricky) McCall, Debbie Moore (Mike Moody), Lisa (Steve) White; her brother: Jim (Sara) Parks; 4 nieces: Kimberly White (A.C. Calloway), Jennifer Gatlin, Tabitha Parks, Tori Kate Parks; 1 nephew: Oliver Parks; 2 great nephews: Izaiah Jones and Miles McCord.
