Thomas Wayne Norton

Thomas Wayne Norton, 78, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Crowne Health Care in Eufaula.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at 2 P.M., at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Doss officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing.  Visitation will be held from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. prior to the service.

Born September 17, 1945 in Eufaula, Alabama, Mr. Norton was the son of the late Charles A. and Louise Brown Norton.  Mr. Norton was a fourth generation of the Barbour County Norton family.  He retired as the Manager of the Alabama Beverage Control Store in Union Springs, Alabama after working 17 years at the Eufaula store,  He was a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church for several years,  Mr. Norton was a devoted Christian and ministered by providing transportation to medical appointments to cancer patients.  He was always laughing, loving animals and was kind and gentle.  Mr. Norton was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Norton and his sister, Laura Norton.

Survivors include his wife: Pattie Norton of Eufaula, Alabama; 2 daughters: Shannon Brooks and Kia (Christopher) Bighem both of Dothan, Alabama; 1 step-son: Gabriel Neeley of Eufaula, Alabama; 2 step-daughters: Laura Smith and Marie Smith both of Eufaula, Alabama; 3 grandchildren: Marcus Rivers, Joseph Bighem and Georgia (Brad) Davis; several great grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law: James Whitman.
