Sherry Greene Harrison, 77, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Saturday, June 21, 2025, at her home, with her husband by her side, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 3 P.M., at the First Baptist Church of Eufaula with Dr. Ken Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing. The visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 P.M. until 3 P.M. at the church. Flowers will be accepted or donation may be made to the First Baptist Church Youth Program.
Born April 30, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama, Sherry was the daughter of the late David Thomas and Lucille Daughtry Greene. She was a graduate of Eufaula High School and attended Wesleyan College for Girls in Macon, Georgia. Sherry was a member of First Baptist Church. She grew up in the church and was married in the church in 1967. She was a Sunday School teacher and she served on several committees in the church. She loved sports, from tennis and golf with her husband to Auburn football. She loved her family and the Lord. She loved being involved in the Pilgrimage, the women’s Jaycees and church functions. She worked for the Eufaula Tribune for years, starting in 1967 until 1972. This was her dream job. After getting the kids in high school, she started an antique business in the old Ford dealership. She loved antiques and working with people. Sherry lived on St. Francis Point for 52 years. She loved her grandchildren and would do almost anything for them. She was a loving daughter, wife to Jack, mother to her children, sister and a great Nana.
Those left to cherish her memories are he husband of 58 years: Jack Harrison of Eufaula, Alabama; her children: Clay Harrison of Cullman, Alabama and Kayce (Britt) Reid of Watkinsville, Georgia; 5 grandchildren: Clayton (Destiny) Harrison, Tyler Harrison, Preston Harrison, Hayden (Austin) Atchley, Harrison Reid; 2 great granddaughters: Roxy Orshoski and London Harrison; 1 sister: Donna Sterling of Centre, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Fiquett, Randy Harrison, Mike Harrison, Ron Harrison, Brent Faison, Trey Washington, Derek Thomas and Jackson Etheridge.
