Rachel Threatt Brooks, 93, of Eufaula, Alabama, died December 8, 2025, in Albany, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2 P.M. CST, in the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Doss officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing. The visitation will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, from 5P.M. until 7 P.M. CST. The burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born January 25, 1932, in Eufaula, Alabama, Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Lummie Ethel Riley Threatt. She was a long-time member of Parkview Baptist Church and read the Bible daily. She was a good and faithful servant of her lord and savior, and her family. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Person Brooks, Sr., her sister, Johnnie Sue Marshall and her brother-in-laws, David Marshall and Don Weathers.
Survivors include her son Jimmy (Lori) Brooks; grandchildren Autumn (Stephen) Walker and Molly (Jonathan) Anderson; great grandchildren Pamela Walker, Liam Walker, Harrison Anderson and Emily Anderson; great great grandchild Harper-Kate Ralph; brother Paul (Ann) Threatt, sisters Ruth (Phillip) Shelley and Ethel Weathers.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Walker, Jonathan Anderson, Dwain Marshall, Jason Threatt, Phil Shelley, and Emile Mattison.
