Mary Funeral (Weathers) Galbraith

Mary Weathers Galbraith, 84, of Eufaula, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in Eufaula, Alabama.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11 A.M., in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Joel Miller officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing.  The visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 A.M. until 10 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Washington Street United Methodist Church in her memory.

Born September 11, 1939, in Eufaula, Alabama, Mrs. Galbraith was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Lois and James S. Weathers.  On December 22, 1961, she married her best friend, Scott Galbraith and together they built a beautiful life, raising three wonderful children.

Mary was known for her boundless compassion and love for her family.  Her favorite past-time was posting as lifeguard in her backyard pool while her grandchildren and great grandchildren swam for hours on end.  She cherished every moment spent with them.  A devoted member of Washington Street United Methodist Church, Mary's faith was a cornerstone of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Scott Galbraith; her children, Connie (Mark) Gibson, Scott (Sonya) Galbraith and Joy (Tim) Crawford; her grandchildren, Chelsea (Spencer) Davis, Taylor (Tyler) Crouch, Lexie (Patrick) Snellings, Will Gibson and Macy Crawford; her great grandchildren, Lane Davis, Blakely Crouch, Laura-Beth Davis, Paxton Crouch and Reagan Davis; her brother: James A. (Dorothy) Weathers; her sister, Maggie Ray. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Annie Crawford, her brothers-in-law, Bill Crawford and Jerry Ray and her nieces Sherry Crawford and Wendy Weathers.
