Marilyn Virginia (Gray) Orr

Mrs. Marilyn Virginia Orr, 83, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Friday, August 30, 2024, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 2 P.M., at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Wilkinson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton with Chapman Funeral Home directing.  The visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 2 P.M., prior to the service at the church.

Born January 10, 1941 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Mrs. Orr was the daughter of the late Christopher C. and Lois Williamson Gray.  Mrs. Orr was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served as Door Greeter and she served on the Bereavement Committee.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years: James Orr; 2 sons: Dale Orr and Chris (Melissa) Orr; 3 daughters: Sherri (Randy) Darrigan, Shannon (Sid) Dowling and Tiffany Cleveland; 8 grandchildren: Daniel Orr, Matthew Orr, James Hopkins, Savannah (Josh) Lindley, Treavor (Brandy) Dowling, Allie Mitchell, Sydney Dowling and Chelsea (Jackson) Wilson; 4 great grandchildren: Maddie Dowling, Barrett Lindley, Nora Jay Mitchell and J.W. Mitchell; 1 sister: Rachel Dutton; 1 brother-in-law: Ricky Orr.

Active pallbearers will be James Hopkins, Daniel Orr, Matthew Orr, Treavor Dowling, Josh Lindley and Jackson Wilson.
