Mrs. Margaret Ann Bradford Beasley was born on September 12, 1930 and went to be with the Lord on May 27th, 2026. She was born in the community of Batesville (Barbour County). She was the daughter of Herbert Lee Bradford and Esther Corinne Binion Bradford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, John Herbert Beasley, Jr., brother Herbert Thomas Bradford, her beloved grandson Chadd Beasley, and great granddaughter Isabelle Beasley. Survivors include her children Mickey (Frank) Straughn, Rickey (Beth) Beasley, three grandchildren children, Max (Stevy) Beasley, Justin (Shana) Beasley, Ann-Michele (Brian) Tyson, six great-grandchildren Katie Beasley, Jessa Wood, Paisley Tyson, Ella Beasley, Max Beasley, and Ryleigh Tyson. Two brothers Billy Bradford and Bobby (Joan) Bradford. Margaret was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Eufaula for seventy plus years where she was an ordained elder taking on many leadership roles in the Women’s Organization. She was active in reviving the Old Batesville Church where she served on the Board of Trustees and as secretary and treasurer for many years. She was active in the business life of Eufaula having served on the Main Street Board for several years. She was a member of the Eufaula and Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, The Friends of Fendall Hall, The Eufaula Heritage Association, The Eufaula Homemakers Club, served on the board of The Friends of the Library serving as the president two times. She was a member of The Barbour County Local History and Genealogy Society serving as treasurer and president for several years. She was a charter member of Camellia Garden Club being active in the club for numerous years and serving as president several times. Twice president of Garden Club Federation where she spearheaded the planting of the oak trees on Eufaula Avenue with the city’s cooperation. She was honored with a lifetime membership of The Garden Club of Alabama. She was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Her hobbies were genealogy, gardening, reading, and travel having visited all 50 states and many foreign countries. The family would like to thank her precious caregivers Julie Fortune, A’Kira Patrick, Susan Reed, Memorie Villalobos, and Anslee Sawyer. They would also like to thank Southern Care Hospice of Dothan and her special nurse Heather. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The First Presbyterian Children’s Home in Talladega, Alabama or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
