John Edmond Steed

John Edmond Steed, 73, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Friday, December 5, 2025, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan.

            Funeral services will be held Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11 A.M., at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Toole officiating.  Burial will follow with military honors in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing.  The visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. at the funeral home.

            Born March 8, 1952 in Columbus, Georgia, Mr. Steed was the son of the late Cecil Clyde and Myrtle Williams Steed, Sr..  Mr. Steed was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends.  Mr. Steed was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Ann “Debbie” Kite.

            Survivors include his daughters: Kris Walker and Dana (Corey) Trawick; his grandchildren: Haley Trawick and Laura Cate Trawick; 2 brothers: Charles (Ramona) Steed and Cecil (Lisa) Steed, Jr.; 2 sisters: Nancy (Mike) Whaley and Mary Steed (Jenn White); special friend: Johnnie Seaborn.

            Pallbearers will be Ronnie Grantham, Walt Pittman, Scott Land, Roy Powers, Mike Windham.
