Jeanelle Gladys (Smith) Wood

Jeanelle Gladys Wood, 76, of Birmingham, Alabama, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St. Martin's in the Pines in Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 18, 2025, at 12 Noon, at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Woody Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing.  The visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until 12 Noon prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Born August 14, 1948, Ms. Wood was the daughter of the late John Elber and Gladys Imogene Gilchrist Smith.  Jeanelle was an avid Alabama fan.  She loved her family and shopping. 

 She is survived by her son: Brian (Chandra) Wood; her daughter: Kristi Wood; 3 grandchildren: Shelby Wood, Savanna Wood and Blayne Wood.
