James Francis "Jay" Johnston, Sr.

James Francis "Jay" Johnston, Sr., 78, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his residence.

Memorial services were held Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 1:30 P.M., at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Chris Toole officiated and burial followed on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11:30 A.M., at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity.

Born April 24, 1945 in Providence, Rhode Island, Mr. Johnston was the son of the late William Stone and Odette Artaud Johnston.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Shirley Johnston; 1 son: Jimmy (Joel) Johnston; 1 daughter: Lisa Johnston (Jeff) Lee; 3 grandchildren: Drew Tyler Wilkerson, Kyle Brandon Phillips, Katelyn Olivia Johnston; 3 great grandchildren: Lillie Kate Wilkerson, Emerson Wilkerson, Beckham Wilkerson; 2 sisters: Denise Champlain and Heather Johnston.
