Ida Ruth (Peacock) Ward

Ida Ruth Ward, 75, of Georgetown, Georgia, died Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital Midtown in Columbus, Georgia.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:30 A.M., CST, in the Georgetown Cemetery with Father David Shoemaker officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing.  The visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 A.M. until service time at the cemetery.

Born January 3, 1950, Ruth was the daughter of the late Jack and Martha Sowell Peacock.  She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Ricky Ward; her daughter: Marty Ward; her son: Statham (Joneal) Ward; 6 grandchildren: Alexandra, Elizabeth, Tate, Andrew, Ian, Jace Ward; her mother-in-law: Jean Enfinger; niece and nephew: Kayce Bennett and Clayton Bennett; her brother-in-law: Pete Ward.
