Grace J. (Johnson) Taylor

Grace J. Taylor, 94, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Henry County Health and Rehab in Abbeville, Alabama.

            Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 2 P.M., in Fairview Cemetery Addition with Rev. Jeff Hines officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing.  The visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M., at the funeral home.

            Born October 14, 1930 in Dale County, Alabama, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Carlie E. and Gussie Segars Johnson.  Mrs. Taylor worked as a bookkeeper for Spurlock Grocery Company for over 40 years.  She worked as an insurance clerk for Independent Life Insurance Company and she worked as the evening clerk at Wallace Community College Sparks Campus.  She worked at Ladybugs and Lace and she was a talented seamstress.  Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband Marvin C. Taylor, her sister Anne Williams, her sons Howard Gerber and Jerry Taylor, her daughter Mary Ann Bolter, her son-in-law Earl Hines, her grandson Billy Wood, her granddaughter Amanda Johns and her great grandson Ryan Bolter.

            Survivors include her daughters: Robbie (Bill) Wood and Inez Hines; her son: Casey (Karen) Taylor; her daughter-in-law: Evelyn Taylor; her brother-in-law: Charles Williams; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
