Ellen Whitehead Horn, 68, of Eufaula, Alabama, died peacefully on June 21, 2025, at home surrounded by her family after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 2 P.M., at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tony Willis and Rev. Chris Toole officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing. The visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at the church.
Born August 2, 1956 in Eufaula, Alabama, Ellen was the daughter of the late J. L. and Lucy Belcher Whitehead. She was a graduate of Eufaula High School. She attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Ellen was a member of the Eufaula First Assembly of God. She loved music ministries. She was a member of the church choir and the Camarata Club. She worked in banking for over 45 years. She loved her family and the Lord deeply. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and meme.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 39 years: Alan Horn of Eufaula, Alabama; her children: Jason Lee (Crystal) Smith of Chester, South Carolina and Carrie Perkins of Eufaula, Alabama; her sister: Karen Barefield of Eufaula, Alabama; her brother: Glenn (Susan) Whitehead of Eufaula, Alabama; 6 grand-children: Nic Smith, Zach Smith, Christopher Smith, Destiny Smith all of Chester, South Carolina, Madison Perkins of Auburn, Alabama and Colby Perkins of Eufaula, Alabama; 1 great grandchild: Sylas Smith of Chester, South Carolina.
Pallbearers will be Colby Perkins, Chris Smith, Charles Horn, Michael Horn, Don Mathis, Rex Mathis, Rickey McGilvary and Curtis McLeod.
