Mrs. Doris O. Adams, 94, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Thursday, February 27, 2025, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1 P.M., in Valhalla Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama with Rev. Landon Byrd officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing.
Born October 10, 1930 in Birmingham, Alabama, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of the late Walter and Agnes Cornelius Long of Gardendale, Alabama. Mrs. Adams was a stay at home mother until her boys were in school. She was then employed for 37 years as church secretary of Westmont Baptist Church in Minor, Alabama. Doris, along with her husband Charles, were charter members of Westmont Baptist Church. After her retirement, she moved to Eufaula, Alabama to be near her family. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Eufaula. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Adams, 2 sisters Lucelle Marehman and Mildred Long.
Survivors include 2 sons: Charles William (Lisa) Adams and James Walter (Bobbie) Adams; 4 grandchildren: Chris (Jaima) Adams, Sara Adams, Caroline (Jamie) Flowers, Annie (Troy) Thompson; 7 great grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Christopher William Adams, Frances Ophelia Adams, Ruth Irving Adams, Olivia Paige Thompson, Levi Garrett Thompson and Margaret James Adams.
