Dale Cain Lankford, 66, of Georgetown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday May 2, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Eastern Time on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Georgetown Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Kermit Soileau officiating and Chapman Funeral Home directing.
Dale was born on March 1, 1960, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Harold Cain and Anita Cain. She was a graduate of Berkmar High School in Lilburn, Georgia, Class of 1978. She was a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church and a previous member of New Hope Christian Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She was regularly active in the local VFW Auxiliary in Eufaula, Alabama. She loved singing, gardening, and traveling. She retired from Toyota as an accountant in the payroll department.
Survivors include her husband Les Lankford of Georgetown, Georgia, Two sons, Andrew (Bobbie) Brown of Fort Gaines, Georgia, and Hunter Lankford of Atlanta, Georgia, a sister Sandy (Mike) Kennedy of Grayson, Georgia, a brother Marty (Kay) Cain of Dahlonega, Georgia, a sister-in-law Laurie (Brent) Ward of McDonough, Georgia, One granddaughter, Mackenzie Brown, Two nephews, Cole (Jennifer) Deckard of Defuniak Springs, Florida, Joshua (Marsha) Kennedy of Lawrenceville, Georgia, one niece Katie (Timmy) Davis of Dahlonega, Georgia, as well as great-nephews and nieces Wesley, Khloe, Mason and Nora. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Anita Cain as well as by her sister Debbie Cain Deckard.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026, before the funeral at Georgetown Baptist Church in Georgetown, Georgia from 1-2 pm Eastern Time.
A second memorial service will be held on June 6, 2026, at New Hope Christian Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia at 2 pm Eastern Time. Reverend James Shelton and Reverend Dr. Brent Ward will be officiating. There will be visitation before the service from 1-2 pm Eastern Time at New Hope Christian Church.
