Collene Margie Molnar

Collene Margie Brown Molnar, 80, of Abbeville, Alabama, died Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in Franklin, Georgia.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2 P.M., at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Stokes and Rev. Larry Sowell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Chester Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Chapman Funereal Home directing.  The visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M., Saturday, at the funeral home.

            Born July 3, 1945 in Roanoke, Alabama, Collene was the daughter of the late Ezra Jackson and Ruby Lee Smith Brown.  Collene lived in Denver, Colorado for many years until her retirement from United Airlines.  She then moved to Abbeville, Alabama.  She enjoyed cooking, taking care of sick neighbors, going to church and being around people.  Most of all, Collene enjoyed going to Memphis to Elvis’ Mansion and going on cruises with her sisters and oldest son BoBo.  Collene moved to Franklin, Georgia in January with her sister, Janice Mitchell, who was taking care of her.  Collene was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Molnar, her sister, Caroline Hester, her brother, Larry Brown and her great granddaughter, Lyoka Harper.

            Survivors include her sons: Curtis (Kristy) Harper and Chris Harper; her step-children: Craig Molnar, Shawn Molnar and Stephanie Molnar; 6 grandchildren: Nikki Harper, April Harper, Alex Harper, Tyler Harper, Renea Harper and Skylar Harper; 1 great grandchild: Joey Harper; 3 sisters: Janice Mitchell, Mary Brown and Linda Ballard; 2 brothers: Jackie Brown and Sammy Brown.

            Pallbearers will be BoBo Harper, Alex Harper, Tyler Harper, K.J. Mitchell, Jackie Brown and Carey Mitchell.
