Betty Ruth (Hutto) Smith

Betty Ruth Smith, 75, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Friday, March 1, 2024, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2 P.M., at Parkview Baptist Church.  Rev. Herman Parker officiated and burial followed in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Alzheimers Association or to the Parkview Christian School in memory of Audra Gem Youngblood.

Born May 30, 1948 in Baker Hill, Alabama, Betty was the daughter of the late Luke and Iva Mae Gulledge Hutto, Sr.   She was preceded in death by her daughters, Tonya Renae Wood and Audra Youngblood.

Survivors include her husband: Jim Smith; 2 sons: James E. (Katie) Bennett, III and Clinton L. (Heather) Smith; 2 grandchildren: Hunter Register and Cal Youngblood; 1 sister: Elizabeth White Johnson; many nieces and nephews.
