Betty Ann (Shackleford) Newton

Memorial services for Mrs. Betty Ann Newton age 84, will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1 P.M. in the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chris Wilkinson will officiate and Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. The visitation will be held prior to the service at 12 P.M. Mrs. Newton died Saturday, November 1, 2025, at her residence in Eufaula, AL. Born March 17, 1941 in Rome, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Horace Shackleford and Mamie Louise Adams. Mrs. Newton was employed with H&R Block for 13 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and she loved her birthday club. She loved her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years Edward Newton; daughter Allison (Rod) Dodgen; son Jeff (Gayla) Newton; grandchildren Ivy Dodgen, Melissa (Scott) Hutto, Brittney (Abby) Dodgen, Hayley McGilvary, Dustin Newton, Ryan Newton; great grandchildren Judson, Elizabeth, LeAnna, Jayden, Lennon; and her faithful caregivers Shameka, Connie, Lois.
