Bernice Earle Clark, 94, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in Panama City, FL.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 2 P.M., at Sardis Freewill Baptist Church. The Rev. Joey McCreight will officiate and burial will follow in the Sardis Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing.
Born August 5, 1929 in Baker Hill, Alabama, Bernice was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Ella Mae Toole Searcy, Sr. She was a lifetime member of Sardis Freewill Baptist Church and was employed with over 50 years in women’s clothing retail sales. She loved her family and celebrating birthdays.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Jeanmarie (Jan) Moody of Lafayette, Louisiana and Charlotte Curcio of Eufaula, Alabama; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years John Calvin Clark, daughter Brenda Vickers, son-in-law Mac Vickers, son-in-law Ted Curcio, great grandchildren John Benjamin Pomeroy and Miranda Pomeroy, eight brothers John Thomas Searcy, Jr., Dalvin Searcy, Henry Searcy, Rudolph Searcy, George Searcy, Robert Searcy, Billy Ray Searcy, and Wayne Searcy.
Active pallbearers will be Blake Cole, Clark Cole, Dakota Hudson, Dallas Hudson, Jim Vickers, Hunter Pomeroy, Zack Roberson, William Moody, and John Moody. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cole Abercrombie, Roger Cole, Jimmy Vickers, Eric Pomeroy, Ben Pomeroy, Malcolm Wilson, Jeremiah Chambers, and Joe Beeson.
